for Smock Bark Park, a large fenced dog park offering plenty of room for your pup to safely enjoy some off-leash time.

The Freedom Park Loop is perfect for the fall season, and the 1.6 miles around the pond is a lovely in-town getaway that’s just a couple of miles away from The Madison at Greenwood.


Outdoor restaurants with pet-friendly patios abound in Greenwood! A couple of these locations are a quick walk from The Madison, like Vino Villa and Sassafras, so you can stop by for a coffee or a glass of wine on your way home from the dog park. Pet-friendly Events

The Puppy POOLooza end-of-summer dog pool party takes place on Saturday, September 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Freedom Springs Aquatics Park. Dogs under 30 pounds swim from 10 to 11:30 a.m., and dogs 30 pounds or larger swim from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Dog and Cat CPR
While you can’t actually bring your pets along, we’re calling this one pet-friendly because it enables you to learn life-saving measures for your dog or cat at a pet first aid course given by Arise Safety and CPR in Greenwood.

Paint Your Pet
This is another event in which you can’t actually bring your pets, but you might enjoy leaving them at home to attend this Paint Your Pet event hosted by Wine and Canvas at Colonial Tavern on Madison Ave. It’s happening on Saturday, September 9th at 2:30 p.m., and you’ll come home with a terrific keepsake of your furry friend.
